Alzheimer's Diease

Alzheimer's disease is a progressive degenerative disorder that affects the brain's nerve
cells and leads to dementia and the inability to perform everyday tasks such as thinking,
communicating, remembering and common physical functions.  The Alzheimer's Outreach
Project is dedicated to providing assistance to people in Western Nevada County caring for
a loved one with Alzheimer's Disease or other progressive dementia.  
Throughout our website you will find a variety of resources and information that we hope
will be helpful.  Health tips in green are intended to help you prevent or delay memory loss
by reducing risk factors that are believed to cause cognitive impairment.  We will also
provide you with links to resources that may be helpful.  Our website will continue to be
